Ecosystem Restoration Program (formerly Native Plant Nursery)
This project is dedicated to restoring areas in critical need of reforestation. We are collaborating with the Center for Forest Nursery and Seedling Research (CFNSR) at the University of Idaho to send faculty, researchers, and students to develop a native plant nursery in Togo, Africa. A local women’s cooperative will be trained to staff the nursery. By exchanging knowledge, skills and resources between ICPSD, CFNSR, and local partnerships, the Togo Native Plant Nursery Project has the potential to create positive and sustainable growth for the community and the environment.
Supporting S H E to Educate & Empower Young Girls in Togo, Africa
More than 130 million girls around the world are not in school. Conflict, childhood marriage, lack of finances, and health issues are just some of the reasons girls aren't able to get their educations. S H E was created to address the unique challenges girls face around the world and improve access to education.
Youth Community Development Program
Young people are the leaders of tomorrow. The ICPSD Youth Community Development Program identifies, inspires, and mentors young and aspirational leaders from the local communities. The program provides leadership development to support their personal and professional growth. This supports them as they build capacity to increase effectiveness, build self-reliance, develop a creative mind, and a thirst for knowledge for the betterment of their community.
Service Learning Facilitation
